Correspondence relates mainly to Floyd's private business affairs, the construction of the Lick Observatory and the purchase
of its equipment, and the construction of other memorials designated in the Trust. Correspondents include Edward S. Holden,
James E. Keeler, John Le Conte, Denis Kearney, Sherburne W. Burnham, Henry E. Mathews (secretary of the Trust) and Thomas
E. Fraser (superintendant of construction for the Observatory)
Included also: some correspondence of Milos Gopcevic, Floyd's son-in-law and heir, relating to business matters.
